This week's walk is at the National Botanic Gardens where we can see the (nearly-finished) restoration of Paxton's water gardens.
As the site is still in the hands of the contractors it is classed as a building site so we have to wear hard hats and hi-viz jackets for our walk. Peter and I have been "trained" to lead the hard-hat walks. We will collect the kit at the Stable Block.
The route is actually a bit shorter than it used to be, is better surfaced and more gentle. The total walk is about 2.5 miles.
Meet at the Leisure Centre to leave promptly at 10.00 or meet at the Gardens Gatehouse at 10.30.
Coffee (or lunch) will be at the cafe in the Stable Block.
